March 31 marks International Transgender Day of Visibility, a day started in 2009 to celebrate the transgender community. In particular, the transgender and gender diverse people who have the courage, safety and agency to express their identities openly and visibly in their public and private lives.

Every day that I'm in the Children’s Minnesota Gender Health clinic, I hear from patients and families who wonder if they will have to flee our state in order to continue to love and support their transgender child. Celebrate Stop Bullying Day and National Coming Out Day in the same week

Coming Out Day is on Tuesday, Oct. 11 and Stop Bullying Day is the next day, Wednesday, Oct. 12.

Let’s raise our awareness of LGBTQ+ kids and teens with disabilities

Many kids and teens struggle with their identities as it is. Now imagine identifying as LGBTQ+ and having a disability. People already treat kids with disabilities differently – in the way they act and talk to them. Then add the fact that they also identify as LGBTQ, it’s easy to see how difficult it can be.
