Children’s Minnesota receives four national U.S. News & World Report rankings

U.S. News & World Report announced that Children’s Minnesota has been named one of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals, ranking the pediatric system for three key specialty areas in its 2019-2020 rankings released online Tuesday. Children’s is among the top 50 facilities, ranking No. 38 in pulmonology, No. 42 in diabetes and endocrinology, No. 43 in neonatology, and No. 28 in nephrology as a joint program partnership with the Masonic Children's Hospital.

Anna Youngerman honored as one of 2019 Women in Business for leadership

She is being recognized in part for her work to advance new ways for Children’s to be an effective partner to families and the community.

Community Caregivers: Samreen Vora, MD

Samreen Vora, MD, medical director of the Simulation Center, was profiled by Minnesota Physician as a Community Caregiver. Dr. Vora was honored for her work at the Indus Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan, where she spent a month teaching and working in emergency medicine, and worked to develop the hospital’s simulation program.

Children’s Minnesota nurse receives volunteer service award

Congratulations to Children’s Minnesota RN Lora Stege Koppel, who recently received the first Dr. Jim Sidman Service Award from Children’s Surgery International (CSI) – a nonprofit that organizes international volunteer trips for health care professionals with the purpose of sharing medical knowledge with local practitioners.

Dr. Sheldon Berkowitz honored with Trust Builder Award
