Outside of the 12-hour shifts, the different EMT positions are expected to rotate working weekend shifts.
EMTs will perform a variety of functions in the support and care of patients requiring urgent or emergency care. Applicants can expect to have the opportunity to do splints, point of care testing, work with an electrocardiogram (EKG) and participate in Level 1 trauma and resuscitations.
The EMT will also receive direction and assignments from physicians and nurses and provide technical support to optimize patient care.
Qualifications needed
- A current National EMT License
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
