Rock the Cradle 2019 was rockin’

A special thanks to all who attended and volunteered at The Current’s Rock the Cradle event presented by Children’s Minnesota!  The (nearly) 10,000 kids and their grown-ups who attended the event at the Minneapolis Institute of Art and Children’s Theatre Company spent the day dancing, listening to music, making art and having fun.

Children’s Minnesota had activities at Rock the Cradle for the whole family!

• An arts coordinator and music therapists from Children’s Minnesota led reading, singing and art activities in the Children’s Minnesota Amazing Kid Zone.
• Kids danced with Twinkle, the Children’s Minnesota mascot, in the Kids’ Disco, and played with fun toys.
• Children’s had a giant wheel with great prizes.

Minnesota Public Radio and The Current’s Rock the Cradle streaming radio is sponsored by Children’s Minnesota and offers the best music for children and adults to enjoy as a family. Rock it at home, during meals, in your vehicle, on the playground, on the way to school, everywhere on a smartphone or computer. Plus, it has tips for parents provided by Dr. Gigi Chawla, chief of general pediatrics at Children’s Minnesota, and story time every night at 7 p.m., where hosts and friends of The Current read kids’ stories before bedtime.
