To provide transparency and awareness for staff and families in Acute Care across both campuses, the Pediatric Hospital
Medicine team has established Medically Ready Discharge Criteria (MRDC) for 10 of the most frequent diagnoses.
A discharge link will be added to the Discharge Workflow Summary and the Surgery Discharge Workflow Summary allowing quick access to the Discharge Encounter (Revenue Cycle).
MedActionPlan will integrate directly within Cerner to replace the current discharge MedList beginning on 1/31/23. Nurses will use the application in all inpatient discharges and for discharges from surgery.
The Psychosocial Assessment section in IView has been updated to include Estimated Hours of Sleep and Sleeping Behaviors.
The hearing screening section of the Neonatal Discharge Activities PowerForm has been updated to prioritize the ABR hearing screen.
Two new PowerPlans: GT/GJ Post Op and Maintenance (used for Pediatrics, CVICU, and PICU) and Neonatal GT/GJ Post Op and Maintenance have been created to streamline the process of post-operative care, feeding, and maintenance for patients with newly placed Gastrostomy or Jejunostomy tubes.
