When a patient tests positive for a Carbapenemase Producing Organism (CPO), Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) will add Carbapenemase Producing Organism to the patient’s Problem List. This will trigger a CPO notification in the patient’s banner bar.
Providers will see the notification displayed in the Precautions section:

All other staff will see the notification in the MDRO section:
