When an acute prescription is ordered, the Stop Date/Time is a required field. However, the Stop Date/Time is not transmitted electronically through Surescripts to the pharmacy. Selecting the duration for all acute prescriptions will automatically calculate the Stop Date/Time, ensuring all needed information is received in the pharmacy.
A new alert will prompt the prescriber to complete the Duration field for an acute prescription order.
- Type of Therapy: Acute
- Select Duration
- Stop Date/Time will auto-fill based on duration selected
