The hearing screening section of the Neonatal Discharge Activities PowerForm has been updated to prioritize the ABR hearing screen.
Two new PowerPlans: GT/GJ Post Op and Maintenance (used for Pediatrics, CVICU, and PICU) and Neonatal GT/GJ Post Op and Maintenance have been created to streamline the process of post-operative care, feeding, and maintenance for patients with newly placed Gastrostomy or Jejunostomy tubes.
Interpreter Services data charted within the past 24 hours in all Intake and Admission PowerForms, Assessment PowerForms, and IView/I&O, will now integrate into Dynamic Documentation note templates that are used to document episodes of care.
Everyone should be called by the right name and pronouns. To provide a safe and inclusive care experience for all our patients, including our gender diverse patients, Children’s Minnesota is improving the way we capture and display the patient’s chosen name and pronouns in our Cerner EHR and printed patient care documents. These improvements eliminate the emotional harm caused when we use a patient’s former name, or birth name, and incorrect pronouns.
Cerner is implementing new tools to review and add outside records such as allergies, documents, immunizations, medications, problems, and procedures as part of the Seamless Exchange initiative.
The Cerner Standard Banner Bar will display for hospital nursing positions (RN, UOC and CSA). This brings standardization across the organization to ensure all positions are viewing the same information. The majority of changes are aesthetic. Pertinent information is still present but may be in a slightly different location with some new added features.
The Immunization Hx section has been removed from the Table of Contents. Immunization information can be found in the Immunization Schedule section
A new Midline Central Venous Line (CVL) Dynamic Grouper is available within the Critical Care Lines-Devices navigator band. This new Dynamic Grouper is automatically available in the Critical Care Lines-Devices band. For all other care communities, this view will need to be customized.
The display of Implanted Port information in the Indwelling Lines & Trachs component is changing.
